Our Club
Rugby Union
The Perth Rams are proudly WAs first LGBTQIA+ Rugby Union Club, and members of the International Gay Rugby (IGR) community. We are committed to growing rugby union within our community and at large by fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for people to learn. We encourage people of any experience level to join us and take the opportunity to take part in a sport many may not have had the chance to do before.
The Rams train and compete with our partner club, the Curtin Goats, through the rugby union season. As well as hosting events throughout the year to introduce people to the sport of rugby union and the community the club has become. We have formed bonds with clubs across the state, and tour locally for annual matches, as well as touring nationally and internationally to play on the global IGR stage.
Touch Rugby
Perth Rams Touch Rugby offers a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people to learn and play Touch Rugby in a supportive and fun environment.
Touch provides a non-contact, easy to learn, fun and inclusive version of rugby that is open to all genders and skill levels.
Touch season runs through Summer and Winter, competing at the Southern Districts Touch Association at George Burnett Park, Karawarra. Our Touch team tours across WA to compete in Pride rounds throughout the year.
In between seasons, Perth Rams offer the Touch Academy designed specifically to support new members who would like to learn new skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
